How to change nameservers for your domain
For domains registered with Managed Web:
- Log in to your client portal.
- Go to Domains › My Domains and select the domain.
- Click Nameservers in the management menu.
- Choose Use custom nameservers and enter the new nameserver addresses. Enter at least two.
- Click Change Nameservers.
To use your Managed Web hosting, the nameservers should be ns0.thundercloud.uk and ns1.thundercloud.uk.
Things to know
- Changes can take up to 24–48 hours to take effect worldwide.
- When you move to new nameservers, the DNS records at your old provider stop being used. Recreate any records you still need (such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email records) at the new provider before switching.
- If your domain is registered elsewhere, make this change at your registrar instead.
